My favorite movie about Alice

How I said before(did I?), Alice in wonderland has a lot of movies, but my favorite movie is one from 1999.

In my opinion, this is the best adaptation from a book ever!
Really, this is worthy, I've never seen speeches so similar to the book. There are times that I remember exactly what is written in the book. And the parts where she is in wonderland and she is through the looking glass is very clearly different.

Of course, still there are parts that are completely different of the book(like the end), but I think that even these were awesome.

And the effects, for 1999 are fantastic!

Yeah, a lot of people don't know, but Alice has two books.

"The JabberWocky" is a poem nonsense in the book illustrated by this picture, you can read clicking here.

(PS: don't try to understand, this is only possible reading the book)

And because it I don't like the movies, because most of them mix both stories, but are totally different stories, for example, Tweedledum and Tweedledee are characters from the second book...

So, the second story you probably don't know, Looking glass, if you still didn't see the vocabulary, means mirror.
In this book Alice goes to a weird world, where flowers can speak, and the most important, the world is like a big chessboard(and Alice is a pawn).

The story is very simple, she just walks along the chapter 'till last square of the board and becomes a queen, but what happen before and after this is surprise ;)

This is one of my favorite books, I recommend, in special if you love chess or crazy stories ;)

Book: Alice's adventures in wonderland

I didn't post any book here a long time.

But now, I gonna talk about one that I most like. This book is easy to learn english, I'm talking about "Alice's adventures in wonderland" or just "Alice in wonderland".

All these characters really exist in the book...Yes, there is a griffo in the book(and a turtle that cries)

This book was written by Lewis Carrol (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) in 1865, and since then there are a lot of movies about this story (nowadays, 21 movies, you can watch the first version(black and white and with only 10 minutes) clicking here)

But unfortunately, only the movies made by Disney became famous(two cartoons[both are the same, but the second is a little better drawn or painted, I don't know] and the newest movie with Johnny Depp). But I gonna talk about my favorite movie next week, today I'm talking about the book.

First of all, forget the movie, in special the last one, I was very sad because they neither changed the name of the movie to a better one, like "Alice after ten years" or "Alice is back to wonderland", but put the name of the book...

I hated this...

But the cartoon was not bad at all, the beginning was very similar to the book, but the middle and the end weren't.

Well, everybody knows the story of alice, 'cause it I gonna talk only why to read the book.
Of course, everybody knows too that the book ALWAYS is better than any movie, and is great to train your english, because there are jokes that you only understand reading in english.

There are a lot of other curious facts about Alice, but I will talk about it along these two weeks, yeah, these weeks are going to be all about Alice, See ya =D

Hey, this was typed in the day 4 of the month 5, in 2011...so, if something happened after this...I didn't know.

Well, the "bad guy" is dead, and now there are a million of people angry with it, the USA didn't show the body, and neither showed pictures to prove it...
And if they already showed the picture now(when this will be posted), they lost a lot of time, it's easy to imagine that they were inventing a story and using the photoshop...


I'm not saying that I don't believe that he's dead, I'm saying that the USA wasted 10 years thinking in a plan, and now they didn't do it right...

Well, this is my opinion, the Al Qaeda will become so angry, that a possible 3º world war will start...

And now, USA, that you killed the number 1, will you kill the number 2? And after? The number 3? And so go on? Are you serious that you want to have some peace? Killing everybody 'till he end? What do you expect? That the whole Al Qaeda explode themselves? This is possible, but who will go together them?

More than once, here in Brazil, the TV said that violent games give power to violent acts. And more, the TV said it giving the idea that without games the world would be an amazing, and wonderful world...

Now I ask you...The world was amazing and wonderful without games?
How many games should exist in the second world war?

And in Sparta, the city of the war...? They, with sure, invented the games...


This is ridiculous, there are statistics that says the violence decreased with the increasing of violent games...
And is not because someone crazy enough to kill 12 or 13 children in a school plays videogame, that it means he became violent playing...

Stop to think...if games really let someone violent, why none of our young people that play all kind of games all the time aren't violent? Perhaps a little of them are, but the most are perfectly normal people!

I love this game, and how was released portal 2 in the past month, I decided to talk a little about Portal 1

How this game works?
It's a kind of puzzle in 3D where you need to create portals, where you can go through them and open doors, survive, etc.

The history is simple, you are a kind of laboratory rat in a strange place where you don't find anyone, only a ironic computer called Glados that speaks with you all the time(I'm not going to tell more to don't give you spoilers)
